The main purpose of this project is to support the intensification of long-term cross-sectoral scientific research cooperation in the field of waste, materials and by-products of metallurgical and related operations of research and application partners primarily from the Ostrava agglomeration. The main scientific research content of the project is the implementation of joint research in the field of elimination, further processing and utilization of industrial waste, materials and by-products from metallurgical production, which are not the primary products.
The project includes 10 key activities. The main key activity of the project is KA 4, consisting of two work packages WP1 (VZ1) and WP2 (VZ2).
WP 1: Research of the material utilization of the slags.
WP 2: Research of the other solid wastes, materials and by-products of metallurgical and related processes.

- KA2 Set-up and subsequent widening of the cooperation within the research organizations and application sector
- KA3 Preparation and creation of a long-term cooperation strategy between research organizations and application sector entities
- KA4 Implementation of research plans
- KA5 Establishment and strengthening of international cooperation with foreign research entities and entities from the application sector
- KA6 Establishment and strengthening of interdisciplinary partnerships
- KA7 Establishment and development of the joint research centres
- KA8 Promotion of project activities and their outputs
- KA9 Vocational training of researchers related to project activities
- KA10 Involvement of the representatives of the application sector in the teaching and professional advising on student qualification works
