Research on the management of waste, materials and other products from metallurgical and related sectors

The project was prepared in collaboration of two research organizations and five industrial partners. The main idea of the project is the support and intensification of the long-term interdisciplinary cooperation of the partners in the field of the management of the wastes and by-products originating during the metallurgical processes. The steel making industry is the typical for Ostrava and Třinec region. This kind of industry brings a number of positive aspects, on the other hands is also accompanied with the negative impact to the living environment. The general research of the waste materials, cataloguing of the wastes and proposals and verification for their utilization in new areas are the scientific goals of the project. The enhancement of the collaboration of the experts from research and industrial sector is one of the key tools for reaching the scientific goals of the project.
